About Us

Who are we?
We are a group of conscientious Indians & Americans trying to expose the real struggles of Untouchables & the oppressed castes of India & bring them out into mainstream media, at a world stage. Our zeal and enthusiasm for this mission is fully embodied in the following quote by the greatest son of modern India, founding father and Architect of Indian constitution Bodhisattva Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

“For a successful revolution it is not enough that there is discontent. What is required is a profound and thorough conviction of the justice, necessity and importance of political and social rights.”B. R. Ambedkar

What do we do?
We share with the readers topics about India that range from Arranged Marriages and Cricket to Untouchability and Bollywood and everything in between.

Why do we do, what we do?
To bridge the gap and bring to light the missing connections that simultaneously make India a culture & society of:
Lavish weddings and gory dowry deaths
Romantic Bollywood movies and inhumane Honor Killings
Cricket super champs and near zero Olympic medals
Billionaires topping the Forbes list and also having the world’s most number of poor
Ultra specialty hospitals and inability to eradicate a preventable disease like Polio
Women with political power yet with zero policies to empower them (should be an interesting read)
And the list my dear, goes on …

Why? You ask again!
Because no one has been able to give an acceptable, rationale explanation for these anomalies.
Because these anomalies have been seen as disparate elements which they are not!
So a strong desire on our part to bring these missing connections to the forefront is why we bring you this website. And just so it is clear, content in this website will not only just satisfy the curious, but will also ensure that with the increasing number of Indians settling outside of India, the world knows the social evils that they bring along with them.

How do we do it?
We takes a no-frills attached, bare it all, expose real India approach. We start with the issue, research the religious, social, economic and political climate that supports such evils and then explain it with simple analogies, a conversational style and by speaking in the language of the audience.
You will find all this knowledge primarily in the blog which you can read and also and more in the videos which you can watch at your own leisure. Alternate option is to attend an event hosted by us in your area. It could be much more rewarding to see us in person, and makes it a lot more interactive.

What can you do? Yes you 😉
Question the non-committal, monolithic version of India that you hear.
Question the accuracy of the answer that you hear about Indian customs which is, rhetorical, “that is our culture” at best and defensive aggressiveness at its worst. Question even our version of the answer and do your research from the references provided to you and what your commonsense and gut say. Finally, if, and only if you believe our explanation is true, convincing and comprehensive,  do share what you have learned with other truth seekers, send traffic our way, attend one of our events or better still host one of your own.  Check out our Support Us page for other options to help us take this message globally.

Thanks!

PS. Caste division which is constantly referred to in this website and my blog is not to be confused with class division as seen in western world, which is based on economic status, because in the case of class division though the opportunity to escape the shackles may be few, they still exist and a lower class person can acquire wealth and/or education and thereby move to the upper class. Caste system, however doesn’t give such a mechanism of mobility, it is  based on birth and enforced through endogamy. Once born into a caste you are of that caste through your life, death and for eternity!

    Hi there

I have been on a quest for nearly a fortnight and stumbled across your blog. Boy, would I be super pleased if I received your advice and/or insight into a matter that has been nagging me!

I am a first generation Indian born and bred outside of the motherland. My whole existence socially has been dominated by western forces as my parents did not immerse me in the indian community. As a consequence, I didn’t make any indian friends nor did I have an interest in my culture until later in life. I am however very religious but I don’t make a song and dance about it. I care to treat religion as a personal matter that doesn’t involve any other participant. The irony of it all is that my parents are orthodox indians but to their credit, they are much more progressive than other families.

I have met a great guy that I have introduced to my folks and in their eyes he is a winner bar one thing. He is Catholic – apparently, this falls into the lower caste system of India. I have with fail found nothing to say that Catholicism even falls within the caste system. If anything, the furtherest I have seen papers take it is because it doesn’t fall within a traditional Hindu caste, it defaults as an untouchable caste.

I think this is crap to be honest.

I would like your insight. Fortunately, my guy has been immersed in the Hindu culture and I’ve already told him that there is no chance in my converting.

So my question – is there any truth that Catholicism is an untouchable caste?

    Thanks and kind regards
